The Norpro meat grinder machine comes with a number of great features for grinding different types of meat. It is commonly used to grind beef, chicken and even fish. It can still be used in making pasta if that is your favorite meal. All you have to do is get your pasta recipes ready and get down to work. Below is how to assemble the grinder.
- Start by installing the shaft bushing. Proceed to slide the hopper onto the grinder body. In the same space, you can now install the shaft. The end of the shaft is supposed to slide through the shaft bushing.
- Install the grinder plates in the designated space. Be sure to check out how the manufacturer expects them to be installed. A clear drawing is illustrated in the grinder’s manual.
- Based on your preference, you are to install one of the mincing plates. You can install the large for coarse output or small for finer output of the freshly ground meat.
- Install the cap and handle of the grinder. The plunger provides space for locking the large knob that holds the cap and handle. Just like that, you should be ready to do some grinding now.
Using the Norpro Meat Grinder:
It is advisable that you cut the meat or any other food into small pieces. It would be ideal to make them into long stripes before mincing or grinding can commence. If you are going to make pasta, use about one cup of the dough. The amount of dough prepared is based on the type of recipe that you have in mind. The same thing applies to cases where you have to grind meat. Use the plunger to feed the meat properly into the grinder.
If you want to experience better durability from the Norpro meat grinder, ensure that you do not turn the handle too fast when grinding. Give the unit a short break after having a 15-minute grinding session. If you are looking to grind a lot of meat, ensure that you choose a heavy-duty machine.
This grinder is meant for domestic use and not for large volumes of mincing and grinding.
Once you are done with the grinding, release the lock knob so as to remove the main body. Wash the grinder parts in warm soapy water immediately. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storage.
